A new “Tree of Life” will soon be installed in the same familiar B’nai Israel hallway to replace the damaged beyond repair previous tree. The updated and larger plexiglass structure with its cherry wood trunk and branches will have new accent lighting and tricolor leaves as well as stones at its base. All existing leaves will be interspersed with new leaves. Two stones will acknowledge benefactors: the original donors to Temple Israel, Phyllis and Alex Novak and Scott Segal whose generous donation in honor of his wife Lisa’s presidency allowed this project to move forward. Spring is the season of rebirth; with your participation we can bring the tree to life with new leaves. From the Gala until Shavuot, May 26th, leaves are available at the reduced price of $136, a 25% discount off the $180 purchase price.
Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail

Yizkor -- Remembrance -- links us to our past. A major synagogue ritual is to foster the perpetuation of memory of loved ones by reciting the Mourner's Kaddish as part of our Minyan. This sacred act can be permanently maintained by our congregation through the purchase of a Memorial Plaque on our Yahrzeit Board, which is then lit on the Yahrzeit (anniversary of the date of death) and at those worship services when Yizkor is recited. Please consider so memorializing a dear-one.
